I would like to bring attention to the Calvary Church, located at 1141 E Lebanon Rd in Dover, Delaware, which is supposed to assist people in need of food. They aim to help individuals turn their lives around, yet they seem to be neglecting those who are homeless. It's disheartening to hear that they turned away individuals without a proper address on Thanksgiving Day. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a roof over their heads, as some may be living in cars or on the streets, desperately in need of nourishment.

It is disappointing to hear that even when individuals tried to pick up their meals, they were refused. The actions of the church seem contradictory to the teachings of our faith, as the Bible preaches against forsaking those in need. I am puzzled by their choices, but I refuse to dwell on confusion. I firmly believe that the good Lord will not abandon me due to arbitrary rules set by others.

While I have personally received food from this church in the past and felt blessed by their generosity, it is disheartening to learn that they are no longer providing assistance. However, there is always a way to help someone in need of a meal. It is regrettable that the church seems to be failing in this regard. I can only hope that they reconsider their approach and remember the importance of compassion and kindness towards all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.

In conclusion, I express my disappointment and urge the church to reflect on their actions. May God bless them and guide them to follow a path of empathy and support for those in need.
Rebecca Hernandez (7/11/25, 5:51 AM):
Calvary Church is a real gem in our community, they truly go the extra mile to support and uplift those around us. From providing a food bank to a coat closet and other essential services, they are always there for the public. The preaching of Jesus and spreading love is their guiding light. May God bless you and your loved ones. Do pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed.
Lucy Young (7/8/25, 3:23 PM):

Andrew Hamilton (7/3/25, 5:28 PM):

This church is absolutely brilliant, with a fantastic pastor who has a heart as big as Texas for sharing God's love.
Denise Patterson (6/29/25, 8:28 PM):
Not only do they preach the word, but they also embody and live out the teachings.
Debra Bennett (6/29/25, 3:52 PM):
There truly ain't no place like home at Calvary. It's like a family from another mother, with some mighty fine teachings straight from the Good Book. They're all about walkin' the walk of Jesus and livin' as children of God.
Juan Rogers (6/28/25, 11:12 AM):
Calvary Church is a welcoming place where everyone is accepted and the teachings are rooted in the Word of God.
Grace Price (6/26/25, 3:05 PM):
This church is absolutely lovely, with such warm and welcoming people. If I were living in Delaware, I would definitely make it my go-to place of worship. However, I currently reside in Macon, GA.
Grace Fisher (6/25/25, 9:08 PM):
I must say, this church is truly something special. From the warm welcome to the constant presence of God, it's a place where you can truly feel at home. The pastor is absolutely fantastic, and the sense of community is unlike anything I've experienced before. Even with Covid-19 restrictions in place, there's always something engaging to do. If you're seeking peace and love, then this is the place to be. Give it a try - you won't regret it!
Larry Patterson (6/25/25, 7:28 AM):
Their music is pretty up to date, and they don't use an organ. They offer counseling services, but their wedding fees are quite steep, over $800. The quality of their productions is top-notch. They also run a food bank and provide assistance with paying bills. And let me tell you, the pastor's sense of humor is spot on!
