I truly have no idea why I'm even giving this a single star! It truly merits a big fat zero.
Properties designated for military personnel that lack proper insulation, homes infested with bugs that only worsen each year while the rent keeps climbing! The maintenance service is far from satisfactory. They only provide quick fixes by individuals lacking proper maintenance training, to make matters worse, they leave behind huge messes! To top it off, they carelessly broke a cherished statue my husband received from his late mother. That sentimental item can never be replaced! The staff knew they had broken it and dismissively brushed it off. Absolutely dreadful! My advice? Look for housing outside the base grounds, you'll definitely get better value for your money. It's no wonder they are allowing just about anyone to move in on this "military base".

She not only helped me submit extra work orders, but she also made sure that I felt truly listened to. After a solid 3 weeks of waiting eagerly, and tirelessly attempting to make contact (to no avail), I've at last discovered the disappointing news that my application has been denied. Usually, I wouldn't fret too much, but in all fairness, it seems only right not to keep individuals in suspense. After all, I did pay for the service. As a paying customer, I believe I should receive proper treatment regardless of the outcome. It's a shame to feel less valued just because my application wasn't successful. Seems like a classic case of the Air Force's superiority complex.

Oh dear, what a plight we had coming all the way from Arizona to Dover base and street to the air force housing. With five children in tow, two of them being quite young, we were eagerly anticipating a warm and cozy welcome back home. Alas, our hopes and excitement quickly dwindled upon arrival. The state of the house was deplorable – dirty and unkempt. As someone who struggles with severe germophobia and anxiety, the sight was unbearable. The exhaustion, stress, and disgust triggered multiple bouts of nausea.
Despite the chaos, I had no choice but to start cleaning, especially with my little ones wandering about. The relentless itching from my germophobia only added to my distress. To make matters worse, the air conditioning was inadequate, leaving us unable to rest properly that night. Despite reaching out to maintenance, the issue persisted, leaving my children in tears over the lack of cool air.
The challenges of PCSing can be overwhelming, and returning home to such conditions was truly disheartening. We are humans, not animals, and deserve better treatment. This experience has been quite taxing on us, and we implore for assistance. This level of uncleanliness and discomfort is simply unacceptable.

I would strongly advise against considering Dover AFB housing as a place to reside. The experience was quite abysmal, to say the least. The housing staff displayed consistently poor attitudes and rudeness throughout my time there. It was disheartening to witness mold thriving in our living space for an extended period before any action was taken. Moreover, the charges incurred during the move-out process were exorbitant. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from pursuing this option. It would be wiser to explore off-base alternatives to save yourself from the unnecessary troubles and expenses.

The maintenance and office staff are quite friendly, I must say. The housing quality is average, though I fear the prices are a tad bit steep for what you get. It wouldn't hurt to have better insulation to combat the harsh winters and summers, if you ask me.

Absolutely dreadful experience, wouldn't even suggest on-base housing to a homeless soul. I'm presently expecting a baby, and there's this foul stench resembling that of a deceased creature, making it unbearable to even breathe, let alone stay or reside in the house. I've contacted them at least 5 times, and they haven't taken any action. Not to mention, whenever there's an issue, they either mark it as resolved without doing anything, don't show up, or arrive whenever they please. It's truly disgusting, and I wouldn't wish this upon anyone else, especially a family with young ones.

The residences are spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Nonetheless, the management's practices during move-out are questionable. The charges incurred were far higher than expected, with every detail meticulously scrutinized. For instance, a small paint mark on the garage floor led to an excessive cleaning fee. Despite the attractive price for larger families, I would hesitate to recommend this place due to these overbearing management tactics.

I’m soon to be pcsing but this was my first time living on base and it was absolutely brilliant. I had a great home before this and was worried about adjusting, but it turned out to be a real blessing! I opted for junior enlisted housing and saved some money. The maintenance team was always fantastic and quick to fix any issues we had. Overall, I would definitely recommend living here. The only downside was the frequent changes in the front office staff, and with Covid, I think there were some misunderstandings in emails and letters. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PREINSPECTION BEFORE YOU DEPART NO MATTER WHAT. They tried to charge me over $500 for cleaning fees/damages.
