I absolutely adored my time in this charming Alaskan town! We had a 6 to 7 hour stop here while the Celebrity Eclipse cruise ship was docked. It was wonderful to see the passengers exploring this picturesque town!
Anna Nelson (8/26/25, 3:19 PM):
As proud Sitka locals with family in town, we recently visited the newly constructed restaurant in town. The food and service were top-notch, and we were impressed by the timely delivery of our meals. I am eager to return and sample the bar menu, particularly as it will cater to us residents after the cruise ships depart, remaining open until 8 or 9 pm. I cannot wait to revisit this establishment.
Beverly Price (8/26/25, 7:36 AM):
Oh, Sitka was just stunning! I really could see myself spending even more time there.
Brandon Sanchez (8/26/25, 2:03 AM):
This is a fabulous spot for the ship to dock. They provide complimentary shuttles to town, just a quick 10-minute ride away. There are numerous charming shops to explore on the dock, along with convenient restroom facilities. It's advisable to allow yourself at least an hour, if not more, to ensure you catch the shuttle back to the dock in time. The queues can get quite lengthy later in the day!
Andrew Ford (8/25/25, 1:33 PM):
The shuttle ride into town is a quick 15-minute journey. The cruise terminal boasts a diverse range of tourist shops and a convenient snack bar for visitors to enjoy.
Scott Barnes (8/24/25, 4:58 PM):
What a lovely harbor, with an abundance of shuttles ready to whisk you away to town. As you stroll down the pier, passing through cleverly repurposed shipping containers, you'll eventually reach the shuttle pick-up point. It's quite a sight to see the ad hoc protective measures in place to shield against the imposing "Ship Killer" boulder perched above the harbor.
Gabriel Reed (8/22/25, 7:04 AM):
Had a jolly good time at the cruise terminal last week, it was my first visit. The staff were absolutely splendid and the location was perfect for boarding and disembarking from the ship. With only one ship in port, it wasn't too bustling. Can't wait to visit again!
Tyler Graham (8/21/25, 5:45 PM):
This cruise terminal is a quaint and peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxed day ashore. There are a few charming shops catering to visitors, all equipped to take credit cards. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful, and public restroom facilities are conveniently provided. Shuttle buses are on hand for transportation, and a variety of paid activities can be arranged. Indulge in delicious seafood at the restaurant or enjoy a refreshing drink from the beer shop. All in all, a pleasant experience awaits at this cozy destination.
Kathleen Morgan (8/21/25, 1:44 AM):
What a lovely arrangement, the lunch was absolutely splendid at the lower eatery, I particularly adored the Dome Experience where they presented a live owl afterwards!
Vincent Cruz (8/18/25, 12:38 PM):
Conveniently located right off the ship, the cruise terminal in Sitka provides complimentary bus shuttles to downtown. The shops at the terminal offer similar prices to those in town, making it a convenient spot to grab any last-minute souvenirs you may have missed.
Frank Cruz (8/16/25, 8:50 PM):
Lovely spot to step off the ship, but not much variety in terms of activities.
Aaron Carter (8/13/25, 2:46 AM):
The cruise terminal in Sitka is situated 5 miles away from the city center. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a building with charming shops, a delightful restaurant, and a cozy coffee stand. The main attractions in this area are located towards the end of Sitka town's road. The ferry terminal is just another half mile away, and there's a campground approximately a mile and a half from the terminal. Rumor has it that they might introduce new activities near the terminal like bungee jumping or other thrilling adventures. Keep an eye out for updates! Once you arrive, make sure to join the queue for the complimentary shuttle ride into town. I recommend holding off on shopping right away, as you'll have ample time to explore and shop upon your return.
Sean Scott (8/10/25, 3:23 PM):
While I was enjoying the icy wonders of Alaska, it seems like the folks in the northeast were sweating up a storm! My time in Sitka was truly wonderful, but I must say that Norwegian Cruise Line can be quite the drain on the ol' wallet. If you're considering a cruise, it might be worth exploring other options besides Norwegian. Cruising can already be a pricey endeavor, and Norwegian seems to have me feeling a bit financially trapped at the moment.
Frank Barnes (8/10/25, 8:12 AM):
Sitka and the surrounding area truly stole the show during our Norwegian Bliss cruise. We had a jolly good time exploring Sitka, and I simply must recommend visiting the Fortress of Bears and the Orthodox Church. We were left yearning for more time in this enchanting place. Across our delightful 7-day cruise, Sitka and Juneau emerged as our top picks, boasting unparalleled beauty and charm.
Linda Young (8/7/25, 6:30 AM):
Lovely spot.. just a couple of vendors offering reasonable prices. Quite similar to the downtown area in Sitka.
Angela Young (8/7/25, 5:48 AM):
The folks in Sitka are real friendly and approachable, mate. I had a proper good time fly fishing around these parts.
Emma Ross (8/6/25, 7:21 PM):
There be a complimentary shuttle service from the cruise terminal to the town center.
Heather Price (8/4/25, 5:55 PM):
Make sure to arrive early for the transfer to Sitka, otherwise you'll find yourself queuing up.
Philip Jones (8/3/25, 7:08 AM):
Had a lovely time in Sitka! The buses are convenient for getting around town. The welcoming sign was vibrant and well-maintained, perfect for capturing some great photos :)
