Our initial port of call on the cruise. A lovely, historic Russian city.
Cynthia White (10/18/25, 2:29 PM):
The terminal building is looking fresh as a daisy, mate! There are a few shops and a cracking restaurant and bar inside.
Donald Fisher (10/18/25, 1:21 PM):
Lovely spot to disembark and explore the town.
Daniel Bailey (10/16/25, 4:04 PM):
Our experience in Sitka was simply splendid! The weather was just delightful, with no tedious wait for the shuttle bus to town. We indulged in some shopping both before and after our excursion, and our driver, Dave, was truly top-notch. He ensured we were punctual for our return by dropping us off right at the port. A seamless and enjoyable day indeed!
Roy Foster (10/14/25, 6:49 PM):
The stores are absolutely gorgeous, and the tour boats and buses are conveniently located nearby.
William Sanchez (10/14/25, 9:43 AM):
Sitka was absolutely enchanting. Unlike the other Alaskan ports on our cruise, which felt more like typical tourist traps, Sitka stood out as a genuine gem with its historic architecture, charming churches, a baby bear preserve, and a delightful totem park. One of the highlights was discovering a local boarding school for First Nations children, known for its impressive graduation and college acceptance rates.

The residents of Sitka clearly hold their state's heritage in high regard, and their passion shines through in every aspect of the town. For those researching cruise itineraries, I highly recommend seeking out a tour that includes Sitka—it truly is a hidden treasure waiting to be explored.
Virginia Ortiz (10/13/25, 4:52 PM):
The terminal appears quite fresh with a variety of lovely shops to peruse, which can be a convenient alternative to venturing downtown. However, the shuttle zone can get rather chaotic, particularly when multiple cruise ships are berthed.
Steven Wright (10/13/25, 9:15 AM):
Take a gander at my YouTube channel aboricualifeinusa and Instagram page. A charming little town, it was the actual backdrop for the film The Proposal, adding to its fame.
Patricia Myers (10/12/25, 10:38 PM):
Lovely mountains and a welcoming team. Neat and well-managed.
Michael Torres (10/12/25, 9:16 PM):
We had a fantastic time exploring the shops at the cruise terminal. I popped into 5 jewelry stores to collect some free charms, despite the constant rain. The weather was chilly, but it didn't bother me one bit. In my opinion, it was definitely worth it!
Karen Carter (10/11/25, 11:22 AM):
As soon as you disembark from your vessel, you'll find the shuttles waiting to whisk you away to downtown Sitka. From there, you can easily reach all the points of interest on foot, including the fascinating Raptor Rehabilitation Center. It's a great way to explore the area while also saving some money! 😉
Albert Rodriguez (10/10/25, 6:25 PM):
What a stunning structure and facility! Sitka, thank you for providing us with such a delightful experience and for introducing us to your charming town. We are eagerly anticipating our return visit one day.
Janet Smith (10/10/25, 5:49 PM):
Sitka offers a shuttle service to and fro the cruise terminal, making it convenient for visitors to explore the charming town.
Ethan Ortiz (10/10/25, 2:46 AM):
The reason I decided to rate the Cruise Terminal was due to the abysmal transportation services provided. Despite the free shuttle service offered to downtown, the return journey poses quite a challenge. The queues for the return shuttle to the cruise terminal extended beyond the parking lot, forming a massive “U” shape around a building where the buses stop. Be prepared to wait in line for a good 20-30 minutes before boarding a bus. Although the cruise terminal itself is small, it boasts some charming gift shops and a restaurant.
Andrea James (10/8/25, 9:27 PM):
The Cruise Terminal is a breeze to navigate. Had a fantastic time in Sitka spotting eagles and bears.
Patrick Morris (10/8/25, 3:00 PM):
The cruise terminal is a marvel of organization and efficiency.
Alice Edwards (10/5/25, 3:58 PM):
Absolutely fabulous experience! The folks here are all so jolly and keen on ensuring you have a splendid time.
Stephen Graham (10/5/25, 2:15 AM):
The location is absolutely stunning, no doubt about it. The entire town is just beautiful. The only downside of docking here is that it's a 15-minute drive into town. It's not too far, but being a popular tourist spot, there's quite a bit of foot traffic. Despite that, I had a fantastic time!
Sarah Diaz (10/4/25, 9:33 AM):
Hop on the complimentary shuttle to the town and set off on foot to uncover the sights and sounds of this vibrant port of call. With a whole day at your disposal, you can immerse yourself in the local culture without splurging on expensive cruise excursions.
Tyler Sanders (10/3/25, 4:04 AM):
Stunning city with plenty of fantastic shopping opportunities and breathtaking natural scenery.
